Abstract

The current control based on the GPC (GeneralizedPredictive Control) algorithm for the power electronic converterconnected to the grid via LCL filter is developed. A designprocess of the control structure and its parameters, and theresults of simulation are presented. The current responses tochanges in current references and to grid failures are shown anddiscussed. The algorithm works well also with unbalanced gridvoltage. The simplicity and low sensitivity of the basicperformance criteria to changes of the LCL filter parameters canbe viewed as the important benefit of the strategy developed.
