Abstract

Abstract. Nowadays, datacenters are one of the most con-suming devices due to the increase in cloud, web-services andhigh performance computing demands all over the world. To beclean and without connection to the grid, datacenters projectstempt to feed electricity with renewable energy sources andstorage elements. This power production needs an energymanagement providing power envelopes as a constraint to thedatacenter management system. This paper presents an opti-mization module that optimizes the IT load under renewableenergy constraints and outputs the power consumed by thecomputing resources of a datacenter. We are able to obtain areduction of up to 73% in the tasks violations while respectinga given power envelope.
