Abstract

This paper presents a comparative analysis for various type of power transmission modeling in multi-area AGC power system. AC power transmission, parallel AC-AC transmission lines and parallel AC-DC transmission modeling in two-area LFC power system is presented and the results are compared. Based on simulation results the positive effects of HVDC links under random load disturbance are demonstrated.
