Abstract

In this paper, an LCL filter for a 20-kW SiC power inverter with a 25 kHz switching frequency is proposed and assessed. The transfer function without neglecting the network effect is considered. The optimal value of the damping resistor is evaluated to minimize losses while maintaining power quality and device stability. Finally, the harmonic content produced by the SiC inverter is experimentally measured to verify the effectiveness of the LCL filter.
