Abstract

A control algorithm is proposed for a three-phasehybrid power filter constituted by a series active filter and apassive filter connected in parallel with the load. It is based onthe dual formulation of the vectorial theory of instantaneousreactive power, so that the voltage waveform injected by theactive filter is able to compensate the reactive power and theharmonics of the load current. System state model was obtainedand the system behaviour was analyzed by the state equationsfor each situation. The analysis developed has allowed theknowledge of the system dynamic behaviour and the stabilitymargins. An experimental prototype has been developed, andsimulation and experimental results are presented.
