This work deals with a general procedure for optimizing operational diagrams of electric energy production units that use alternative energy sources. The goal of optimization is to supply given load at minimal use of conventional energy sources. In order to perform the optimization, simplified mathematical models of different production units that use alternative energy sources are introduced. These units are based on solar cells, wind turbines, fuel cells and electrolysis. The optimization is performed for given weather forecasting and forecasted load diagram by the Differential Evolution, which is a stochastic search algorithm.
