Abstract

There are many problems in H-bridge bi directional DC-DC converter, such as slow dynamic response and bus-bar voltage overshoot etc. The proposed method of dual carrier modulation which can greatly simplify the control method, is used to smooth mode transition. Then a Fractional Order PID (FOPID) controller which can provide an excellent dynamic performance, more flexibility and robustness for the system, is investigated. Finally, simulation model has been built, and an 1kW experimental prototype has been built.
