Peer Review Process

All submissions to RE&PQJ undergo a rigorous peer-review process managed within the Manuscript Central system. The review process includes the following steps:

Initial Submission: Authors submit the manuscript to the Editor-in-Chief (EIC).

Associate Editor Assignment: The EIC assigns an Associate Editor (AE) based on the manuscript's topic, availability, and potential conflicts of interest. If the EIC has a conflict of interest with any of the authors, an AE is assigned to oversee the review process.

Referee Selection: The AE recommends 3-4 referees to the EIC. The EIC ensures the referees have no conflicts of interest with the authors and are not over-solicited. Deadlines for reviews typically range from 3 to 6 weeks.

Paper Review: The AE and referees review the manuscript. The EIC monitors the progress of the reviews to ensure timely completion.

Decision Proposal: The AE proposes an editorial decision based on the referees' reports. Possible decisions include:

· Accept

· Minor Revisions

· Major Revisions

· Reject

Author Notification: The EIC sends the decision letter to the authors along with referees' reports. Anonymous copies of the reviews are shared with the AE and referees for acknowledgment.

Production Processing: Accepted manuscripts are forwarded to the journal's production team for publication.

Revisions:

Minor Revisions: Authors are expected to address reviewer comments and resubmit the manuscript promptly. The AE reviews the revised version before final acceptance.

Major Revisions: Revised manuscripts undergo a new round of review, typically by the original referees.

Authors of rejected manuscripts may resubmit them as new submissions. In some cases, the AE and EIC may encourage resubmission after substantial improvements.
